So… some of you may have read the post last week about my bra making class and a blog tour that I was to be participating in. You may have noted that it had a tone of overwhelm and procrastination similar to high school projects. Well…. the great thing about being my age, and out of high school is that we can back out of things we have gotten ourselves into. And it’s OK! The world (and the blog group) will not fall apart if we change our minds. So that is exactly what I did. I backed out, I came to my senses or whatever we want to call it, the bottom line is that I bailed and I feel liberated, relieved and free. Free from a deadline, free from a perfectionist ideal in my head of how this all needs to turn out, free from the expectations of others to complete my share of the project. Did I mention free from deadlines…..?? This is all supposed to be fun.
I am still working on some bra projects…. who would have thought making a bra would be so easy! Of course I do not have it complete yet, and I have a feeling it will be a bit big. BUT once I get the fit right I will be making more…as I said, it is so easy!
Here are a few of the sneak peek pics until I get it all complete.
So far it looks like it is supposed to.
The lesson in this is that life is fun, and rarely is anything we commit to a life or death situation. If you are not having fun with something that you signed up for, or volunteered for, then for the sake of your own sanity, you have my permission to just flat out say ‘ this is not working for me, and I do not want to do this anymore’. Instead of always running around feeling crazy, we have the choice to take control of our time! You will only feel bad for a brief moment…I promise.
